Houston is known as one of America’s most exciting and dynamic cities – and the reasons are many. Just 20 miles east of Houston is the San Jacinto Monument, marking the site of the historic battle where Texas won its independence from Mexico. Houston, with its proximity to Galveston Bay and the Gulf of Mexico, is also a major world point for both cargo shipping and cruise lines as well as a major player in the oil and petrochemical industries.
